Dear CADISON customer,
We are pleased to present you the latest edition of our
CADISON technical newsletter.
This newsletter contains technical information on CADISON and is
released on a regular basis to help you in your daily work with
CADISON.
The positive feedbacks to our latest technical newsletter in December with the topic “Pipelines with slopes” proved the fact that many of you work with these functions provided by CADISON. However, many are still not widely known to ease your daily work. Therefore, in this edition we continue with the topic “Construction of pipelines” and focus on the Autorouter function.
The
following topics are just a mouse click away:
If you have any topic
suggestions
from your daily work with the software that you would like to be
covered in our
next releases please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Enjoy the reading!
Best regards,

| Pipeline construction with CADISON Autorouter Function |
| |
In order to meet today’s market requirements the work is to be done in an easy and simple way. Especially pipeline construction requires technical help to be completed within the given time period. Hence, we would like to introduce the CADISON Autorouter function in more details to you.
Most of you already know this function from simple pipe construcions. However, the Autorouter can significantly help to solve some more complex design requirements. The construction of device connections can be difficult due to technical complexity, e.g. when different sloped nozzles have to be done from different angles. CADISON Autorouter function makes this work easier.
The example given below shows how the vessel nozzle is connected with the suction side of the pump.
|
| |
 |
| Initial situation |
| The command „Construct a pipeline“ enables drawing the pipe from the pump’s suction side first in the negative Y direction and after that up to the centre of the existing pipe. Type “R” in the AutoCAD command line to activate Router in the direction to vessel and confirm with ‘enter’. Next, select the red connection point of the nozzle. Now CADISON suggests a possible pipe routing. If you don’t like the offered result you can get a new alternative by using space bar. |
 |
| Offered pipe routing by CADISON Autorouter |
If you want to accept the offered pipe routing, confirm by using the left mouse button to activate the automatic “pipe overlay” function and to finish pipe drawing. |
| |
 |
| Finished pipeline |
In the next technical newsletters we will continue covering topics on pipe construction with more details on insulations and heat tracing.
If you would like to deepen your knowledge in CADISON we are pleased to offer you some expert trainings in addition to our standard trainings. For example, in the expert training CADISON 3D-Designer / MATPIPE we will go more into details to answer questions from your daily project tasks. For training dates and content please see here. |
