We have the pleasure to present you the second edition of our CADISON Technical Newsletter.
This Newsletter containing technical information on CADISON is released on a monthly basis to help you when working with CADISON.

The following topics (just a mouse click away) are as follows:

• New CADISON Config Manager administration tool
• Updates in CADISON license management
• New GUI both in CADISON Project-Engineer and CADISON Project-Navigator
• Patch for CADISON P&ID, 3D and Electric-Designer R8.5

The functionalities of new CADISON Config Manager are as follows:

• CADISON Config Manager allows for activation or deactivation of object models.
• Structure view and report templates can be defined by CADISON user himself.
• Config Manager allows for domain change-over.

Note: Database object models can be updated by start-up of the system if they have been activated in Config Manager before hand.

CADISON license management has been simplified for Release 8.5 - a respective adjustment took place for existing workstations and add-ons.

User advantage: more clear and much quicker generating of a license.

User interface has been re-designed and updated with some additional functions:

• Object inspector has been integrated in Project-Engineer as a fixable dialogue.
• Object inspector displays information of the selected objects in an active window if several windows are open at the same time.
• Table columns can be arranged via drag and drop.
• The possibility to variable placing of menu bar.

Please be aware the CADISON R8.5 Designer closes itself sometimes if graphical representations are not connected to any element in the Tree.

A Patch - solving this problem - is available to our maintenance clients in the download area under "Empfohlene Aktualisierungen - Recommended Updates".

If you have CADISON R8.5 in use we strongly recommend you to install an update at all your CADISON client computers.

Note: please consider this update is scheduled for CADISON R8.5.0 only and is not needed for any older versions.
