New
functions in CADISON Project-Engineer and CADISON Project-Navigator
|
|
|

|
- ObjectInspector has now been integrated as a dock-able
window into
CADISON Project-Engineer.
- When
several windows are open the ObjectInspector displays the selected
objects' information in the active window.
- Table
columns can be placed as required via drag-and-drop.
These new additional functions enable you a clearer display of object properties.

Developments in CADISON object model |
|
- All
code letters have been conformed to
DIN 10628.
- Measuring
points can be assigned to multiport fittings now.
- An
object property „insulation thickness“ can
automatically be
transfered to pipeline components.
- Pipe
color is set by medium only.
- Many
properties that are unchangeable but visible in CADISON
MATPIPE can now be hidden thus reducing
the shown number of
properties to users.
- Further
changes have been made in the following object classes:
mitred-elbow, pipe support, reduction, end cap and crosses,
tee,
pipe, pipe route, elbow, pipeline, medium.
More
information is available in online help.

New
functions in CADISON
3D-Designer |
|
- Bended pipe
Bended pipes are now available
for designing of pipelines. This function allows to create a unique bended object (bended pipe) from
a pipeline routing containing pipes and elbows.
Overall length can be exported to the lists of material or
isometry.

|
- 3D rotation
Via some mouse clicks you can rotate an object in
pipelines to the proper position and fix it there at all
times. Drive
and hand wheels are automatically selected within this rotation.
This all simplifies
the rotation in 3D-Designer.
The
respective presentation in
German language is available
here.

|
- Extensions of nozzle assistant
Nozzles can be placed on
cones and container constructions in every direction and angle thus
providing a user with an enourmous
time-saving.
|
- Ventilation module
Simple construction of center line and
an “overlay
now” command allow quicker design of ventilation ducts in CADISON
like when
designing a pipeline.

Further informaiton is
available in CADISON R8 online help.
|
- Outlets for elbows and reductions
The new function allows inserting outlets
into model and objects like pipes, elbows or reductions.

New functions in CADISON
MATPIPE |
|
- Deleting several primitives at the
same time
So far primitives in CADISON MATPIPE
could be deleted just one at a time. Now it
is possible to delete them all in one
step by means of a recent designed dialogue.
This also allows for an enourmous
time-saving in daily work.

|
- Display of the objects with the same
object tables
Objects with the same object tables can be
displayed in a catalogue all at once now.
This will help you to be
immediately informed upon the changes in the components.

|
- Possible selection of several lines
in detail tables

The new
quick selection
of lines allows for an effective compilation of data lines for editing
in the system.

Report
templates with new functionalities
|
|
- The new key word "hasTableOnly" in the reports quickens the generation of reports considerably.
- A variety of report templates delivered within the program standard distribution has been revised
thouroughly.
- Report
templates can be edited across the project. Via a new function CADISON is now supporting the management of report templates of different versions.
|
|

Advice: refer to
option "Create report in background" to avoid idle times when
generating a report.

A dialogue
window that can possibly
disturb after a manual check of drawings |
|
|
A dialogue window can appear after carriying out the manual check
of the drawings
in CADISON (from Release
8.0) in the modules, such as
P&ID, 3D or
Electric-Designer and after automatically saving of drawings in
AutoCAD but not yet in CADISON. The window will offer either
to copy or rename the drawing and can disturb a
user though. One of two following solution options
can be
applied without any negative impact.
- Manually saving the drawing before starting a
drawing check (e.g. via a button combination "Ctrl + S").
- Replace a file PHI-CMN.cui in
every
Designer workstation with a certain version that saves the drawing
automatically when starting a manual check of drawing .
=> CADISON clients can find this menu file in our software
download area in the section "Empfohlene_Aktualisierungen“.
Note:
start of the drawing check is delayed to the duration of saving.

Possible
problems that occur when
publishing drawings |
|
|
In some case when activating the Autodesk
AutoCAD function „publish“ in P&ID,
3D or Electric-Designer the dialogue window appears with the following
text "A document with the same name was found, and will be renamed to RENAMED".
As the result a new entry will be
created in Tree
for an open drawing the object description of which is set to
the
existing file. As soon as this copy is deleted the drawing file will
automatically be deleted that linked to the original document entry in
the tree.
As the result this document entry of the original file will be
displayed with a red cross and the drawing can not be opened
anymore.
In this case the last status of the drawing file before data saving should be
restored.
We advise you to use the following approach
iIf you need to delete a dublicate without any data loss:
Edit a created drawing copy and make sure there are no objects in
the tree structure beneath the drawing within an
active
register "structure view".
Activate a value "has no file" in the
register „001-General" of this drawing, deactivate edition modus by pressing
OK and delete undesirable drawing copy.
To avoid this problem generally please make sure that there is
just one copy of the drawing open when using a command "Publish" so
that the function is carried out properly.
